Earth pyramids exist on all five continents. Those found in Ritten/Renon are the tallest and morphologically the best-developed in Europe. They are located in the valley of the Rio Fosco river near Longomoso, in the Rio Rivellone valley at Soprabolzano, and in the gorge of the Rio Castro river at Auna di Sotto.
