The Black Pyramid, Dahshur

The Black Pyramid was built by King Amenemhat III (1860 BCE-1814 BCE) during the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. It is one of the five remaining pyramids of the original eleven pyramids at Dahshur. The Black Pyramid, although encased in limestone, is made of mud brick and clay instead of stone. It was originally about 75 m tall with a base 105 m long and an incline of 57 degrees.
