The Heritage Museum in Alsace (Ecomusée) is a replica of an ancient village out of the early 20th Century. The museum is made up of 70 authentic rural houses, dismantled bit by bit in their original villages where they were going to be destroyed. It is one of the largest in Europe, covering 100 hectares of village, fields and forest.
