The Djin Blocks are three-dimensional stone-carved structures that resemble towers and are spread throughout the site of Petra. A total of 26 Djin Blocks have been identified and listed in Petra. The word Djin derives from the Arabic word for “Genie”. Some of these monuments are solid blocks while others are hollowed out. Some of the blocks have decorative features.
