Starting early December every year a phenomena difficult to describe in words appears, and it must be seen to be understood, though even then it is not clear exactly what it is. Beginning at 12 noon a halo of light appearing much like fire appears from the edges of an opening in the rocks and lights the edges of the opening with bright hues of yellow and orange. This fire-like light spectacle continues for about an hour but peaks for only a few minutes before slowly giving way.
