This sculpture, the work of art by the renowned contemporary Spanish artist Rosa Serra, was inaugurated on the 15 October 2000, to commemorate the international meeting of Penya Barcelonista de Lloret, the famous FC Barcelona’s fanclub, from Lloret de Mar. The sphere situated in the upper section is the key element around which the monument is structured. It represents both a ball, to commemorate the meeting of supporters’ clubs, and a globe, symbolising Lloret's status as an international tourist destination. It is made out of bluey bronze, except for the sphere, which is made out of stainless steel.
