Alpe di Siusi and Sciliar Massif (Schlern Sciliar), South Tyrol, Italy

The Sciliar Massif, boasting an altitude of 2,536 meters, is not be the highest mountain of the region; but every child in South Tyrol knows about this legendary mountain in between Siusi, Tires and Fiè allo Sciliar. Johann Santner was the first conquering the Sciliar Massif in 1980 and it was this man who gave the popular Santner Summit its name. On the right: Santner peak (Punta Santner / Santnerspitz) (2,413 m); to its left: Euringer peak (2,394 m)
