Church of Notre Dame, Champ-le-Duc, Lorraine, France

The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady of Champ-le-Duc is a Romanesque building built in the 12th century on the site of an alleged ninth century villa which was constructed by the Emperor Charlemagne (Charles the Great) himself, who had the habit of coming to hunt in the area.
