Three Graces, Pompeii

Aglaie, Euphrosyne and Thalia, the three Graces, daughters of Zeus and companions of Apollo, symbolized beauty, grace and wisdom for the ancients. Here the scene of beauty is enhanced by the abundance of flowers in their wraths, in their hands and adorning the rocky landscape, which is most uncommon feature in Pompeian painting.
Now it is in the Naples National Archaeological Museum
